Slavery Abolition Day was on April 27th, and brought with it a bank holiday, a closed exhibition, a time-wasting conference and a small carnival. These photos are of the participants in said carnival. There weren't very many groups, only about six or seven, but they advanced extremely slowly, giving onlookers the time to photograph them (except for one group of dancing girls dressed in rice sacks, who would not stay still).
