It's raining, it's pouring...

The rainy season started in the middle of last week. Tropical rain is quite interesting. It goes by short blasts of heavy rain followed by great lengths of nothing. But in the wet season, it rains at least a little every day. These blasts of rain last for between five and twenty minutes, then it's all over, the sky clears up and that's it for the day (or for the morning, depending). It's unforeseeable, though, the sky can cloud over from one minute to the next.
The rainy season is supposed to last from November to April/May-ish, but was late starting this year because of various climate changes all over the world. Practically, it makes it harder to ride a scooter or motorbike, as the holes in the road are filled up with water. Added to the usual puddles, you don't know where the holes are. And you can't just "avoid the wet bits" as I can imagine Mum saying : they're everywhere.
How very English. On the other side of the world... and writing about the weather. :)
